another bit of Trivia was that Hal Smith who played Otis Campbell, the town drunk, was actually a tea toter. Mr. Smith never dranl and hated the taste of spirits.

Did you ever notice that there are no outakes from the shows? The reason for that was Griffth was such a stickler for perfection that if an outake mistake(cast or crew) did sneek up, he would insist on getting rid of the imperfection on the spot by replacing the film and starting over again until they got it right.

Hal Smith also voiced Taurus and most incidental male characters on "Space Angel."

Mr. Smith voiced many character in the Hanna-Barbera cartoons chiefly villeins, he did funny ones on the Pink Panther show as well as a few in Clutch Cargo. Truly a versatile and talented actor.
